Altra Shoes

Altra shoes were founded by Brian Beckstead and Golden Harper who met on their first day of cross-country practice at Orem High School in Utah. This all began with a simple recipe of placing a pair of shoes in a toaster oven, allowing the heel to be removed from the shoe to balance it out. It was this that lead to the Balanced Cushioning and Footshape design. A combination that address the biological differences between men’s and women feet and makes sure that whatever foot shape you are, there is a running or trail shoe for you.
