Designed by Scott Seamans, Lyndon Hanson, and George Boedecker in 2002, Crocs were originally inspired by an admiration for sailing. During a sailing excursion in the Caribbean, the founders came across a boating clog that used a new material called Croslite - the rest is history. Standalone in style, Crocs were named after their in-water aptness and exaggerated perforations that resembled crocodile snouts.
