Ever since their introduction to the court in 1985, Nike’s Air Jordan 1 prompted attention due to its rule-breaking red and black colour-blocking which violated the NBA uniform policy at the time. Michael Jordan was excessively fined every time he’d play in them; nevertheless, this did not halt the basketball icon in his stride to create a legendary career, and would only fuel the hunger for Air Jordans. Since their inception in the 80s, the Jordan line has gone on to create countless silhouettes, collaborating with some of the most prominent artists, designers and retailers in the process.
